Abstract
Objective: This study was designed to examine the effects of CR on anti-inflammatory effect Carrageenan-induced arthritis and analgesic and antipyretic effects in rats.

Methods & Materials: 1. CR was orally administered to rats with Carrageenan-induced arthritis and then the rate of increase of paw edema, CRP, ESR, WBC were measured.
2. CR was orally administered to rats with sample gruop and then writhing syndrome, threshold, recto-temperature and
partial-temperature were measured.

Results: 1. In the sample group, the rate of increase of paw edema was significantly decreased as compared with that of control group.
2. In the sample group, CRP?ESR?WBC were decreased as compared with that of control group significantly.
3. In the sample group, frequency of writhing syndrome was decreased as compared with that of control group significantly.
4. In the sample group, threshold of pain was increased as compared with that of control group significantly.
5. In the sample group, recto-temperature was not decreased as compared with that of control group but the partial-temperature was decreased in the sample group as compared with that of control group significantly.
